Soil/Terroir : Chalky clay, schists, quartz pebbles.
The Domaine de Gourgazaud is
situated in the village of La Livinière, set in the foothills of the Montagne
Noire. The village acquires its name from “Cella Vinaria” (wine cellar),
confirming the existence of ancient Roman vines in the region.
Geography of Vineyard : Issued from limestone soil dating from the Myceneaen Era, mixed with
alluvium
Vinification :
The vats used for the Junior white are vinificated at a lightly lower
temperature than the ones used for the classic whites, this in order to extract
the freshness and primary aromas.
Tasting Notes : By tasting the blend it reveals its different elements: the citronella of the Sauvignon, the linden of the Chardonnay and the jasmine-muscat notes of the Viognier.
